Final Fantasy XIV coming to Xbox in March

The world of Final Fantasy XIV is about to get an influx of new sprouts as Xbox has revealed the full release of the critically acclaimed MMORPG is set for Xbox Series X and S consoles on March 21, 2024. The launch date was announced during this week’s Xbox Partner Showcase and is welcomed news to Final Fantasy fans who’ve been without Final Fantasy XIV in the Xbox ecosystem since the MMO launched more than a decade ago.

Eager Xbox owners with Game Pass Ultimate can jump into Eorzea via the Final Fantasy XIV Starter Edition that’ll be available to claim between March 21 and April 19. The Starter Edition packs plenty of value for beginning Warriors of Light with the full version of Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn and the next two expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood.

If you can’t wait for March 21, the Final Fantasy XIV open beta on Xbox consoles is happening right now for new players. Joining the open beta might be a good choice for Xbox players hoping to be fully caught up by the time the newest expansion, Dawntrail, drops in just a few months this summer.
