Final Fantasy XVI is nominated for the Players’ Voice Award. Voting is now open.

The Game Awards have opened voting for the Players’ Voice Award and Final Fantasy XVI has made the first round. You have until November 29, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. PST to cast your votes.

Unlike the traditional Game of the Year Award that uses a 90-10 split between jury and fan votes respectively, the Players’ Voice Award is 100% determined by fans. The voting periods are broken up into three rounds, with the first round featuring 30 potential winners. The 10 games with the most votes move on to the second round of voting which will then be narrowed down to the top five games vying for the ultimate win in the final round.

Final Fantasy XVI has a lot of work to do as the Players’ Voice Award is stacked with standout games from 2023, as well as old favorites like Fortnite and Genshin Impact in the mix. Every vote counts, so cast your ballot before the first round ends on November 29.

While you’re there, Final Fantasy XVI is also in the running for several other awards you can vote for, including Best Narrative, Best Score and Music, Best RPG, and Best Performance for Ben Starr’s performance as Clive. Voting ends for these award categories on December 6.

All winners will be announced during the The Game Awards live ceremony on December 7, 2023.
