Someone described THE PRIMALS' new music video, “Dedicated to Moonlight,” as a wild fever pitch and that’s pretty accurate. It’s a fun experience that includes some entertaining visual throwbacks to ‘80s music videos while the band traverses Euphrosyne, the second chapter in the Myths of the Realm alliance raid series.
Given the setting, it’s appropriate that the video include many of the personalities and misadventures that seasoned Warriors of Light are painfully familiar with. There’s the guy who randomly jumps around for no reason before every fight. There are unlucky minion rolls and terrified players being chased by damage markers. There’s even an alliance chat which, with the help of a translation on Reddit, we know has new tanks figuring out who’s willing to main tank.
For anyone who’s ever queued into a Final Fantasy XIV alliance raid, the references hit hard and are fun to spot. My personal favorite is Masayoshi Soken floor tanking just before the next guy wipes.
