PlayStation recently updated its list of titles leaving its PlayStation Plus library and 7 Final Fantasy favorites are included. Players have about a month to enjoy these Final Fantasy classics before they depart the PlayStation Plus stable on May 21.
These are all the Final Fantasy games headed out the door.
-
Final Fantasy VII (PS4)
-
Final Fantasy IX (PS4)
-
World of Final Fantasy (PS4)
Technically 7 titles are on the chopping block, but those who claimed these games when they became available to PS Plus subscribers are actually losing 8 with Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster containing two different games. And with Final Fantasy VII on the list, those inspired to experience the original game after playing Final Fantasy VII Rebirth after its February launch may need to get a move on.
PlayStation Plus is PlayStation’s subscription service that offers players several perks like online multiplayer access, PlayStation Store discounts, and free monthly games. The Final Fantasy titles leaving the PS Plus library next month were all, at some point, a part of this monthly promotion. Three PS Plus membership tiers are available with the base Essential membership starting at USD 9.99. All tiers get access to the free monthly games, but players need to claim the free titles each month to make them available in their personal game libraries.
