Producer Yoshinori Kitase and director Naoki Hamaguchi, two of the integral minds behind Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, will be streaming live from Boulevard City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a special behind-the-scenes look at Rebirth’s development. Called “Summoning the Masterpiece,” the event was announced on official Final Fantasy VII social media accounts. It all goes down tomorrow, August 16, starting at 10 a.m. PDT on the Square Enix Twitch channel.
Other than the name and the behind-the-scenes nature of the event, additional details and surprises have yet to be dropped by the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth team or Square Enix. As expected, fans have taken this lack of information as an opportunity to project their lofty hopes for Rebirth. Will they announce Rebirth’s PC release? Maybe a DLC reveal?
Fueling the conspiratory postulation is the fact that they’ve already released a four-episode documentary series on Rebirth’s development that featured Kitase, Nomura, and dozens more of the creative team. So there must be more to this event, right?
We’ll find out soon enough when the “Summoning the Masterpiece” kicks off in less than 24 hours.
