Today Square Enix announced that they will be releasing a new Final Fantasy XIV-themed turntable is now available for pre-order. The model SQ-1500 is a custom version of the Technics SL-1500C that has a sleek black and gold colored theme which is adorned with the iconic Realm Reborn meteor logo as well as symbols representing the Twelve and even using the Eorzean alphabet on the switches. This unique design was chosen by Final Fantasy XIV's lead composer and sound director Masayoshi Soken. Just like the SL-1500C the SQ-1500 features a direct drive motor along with a built-in Phono equalizer and bunbled cartridge making it easy to connect to a wide range of audio equipment. And for those of you old enough to remember having to pull the tonearm up at the end of a record or risk damaging it you can listen to your music without worry about that happening thanks to an auto lifter function that will take care of this for you by automatically raising the cartridge, but not the actual arm, to eliminate impacts to the records and stylus at the end of the play.
This turntable will be a nice addition to any collector of Final Fantasy XIV or Final Fantasy stuff in general and will be the perfect turntable to play all those official LPs with Final Fantasy music on them. The Turn table will cost $1,699.99 USD and is expected to be released sometime in April of 2024 with pre-orders now open on the official Square Enix Store. This does not seem to be a limited-edition or a limited-run item so if you want it but need a bit of time to save up don't worry about missing out on it.
