We’re exactly one week away from the beginning of Dawntrail early access on June 28 and just 11 days away from its June 2 launch. To make sure players who preordered Dawntrail can jump into the new world of Tural as soon as they’re able, the Final Fantasy XIV team took to The Lodestone to explain the process of participating in early access and how and when to redeem your Dawntrail registration code.
First off, if you preordered Dawntrail through the Square Enix Store, registration codes are being sent out via email starting on June 24–that’s four days before the start of early access. These codes are being distributed sequentially, so don’t panic if it takes a while for your code to arrive. Also, don’t confuse the Dawntrail registration code with the early access code. The Dawntrail registration code is for the official launch of the game and the function to redeem it won’t actually appear in the Mog Station until July 2. Once that “Enter Expansion Registration Code” button drops on the official launch date, you’ll then be able to enter your Dawntrail registration code.
To participate in early access that runs from June 28 to July 5, you’ll need to redeem your pre-order bonus code in the Mog Station. This step is exclusive to Windows and Mac players. Console players who preordered Dawntrail for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation 5 are automatically registered for early access. Just remember to enter your Dawntrail registration code starting July 2 so your adventuring won’t be interrupted when early access ends on July 5.
