Headline Image Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is teaming up with Capcom to help them celebrate the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter. Called “Rathalos in the Midgar Skies,” this special Ever Crisis event starts this evening and features some unique character gear inspired by the beasts of Monster Hunter. If you’ve been away from Eorzea, this is a great time to check out current in-game events like the Yo-Kai Watch and Fall Guys collaborations for free before the next expansion, Dawntrail, launches on July 2. KINGDOM HEARTS is coming to Steam Headline Image Sora fans rejoice! The Keyblade-wielding protagonist and the rest of the KINGDOM HEARTS cast are heading to Steam on June 13. Square Enix celebrated the announcement with a Steam launch trailer and a special message from KINGDOM HEARTS producer Ichiro Hazama. KINGDOM HEARTS mashes together the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney and has built up a strong cult following since the first game in the series was launched in 2002. English translator Aimi Tokutake joined Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida and global community producer Toshio Murouchi for the five-hour bilingual presentation that began with a new job action trailer to go along with all the job news. This new medium-term business plan is expected to define its business and content policies for the next three years and includes a dramatic shift to multi-platform support for its stable of established intellectual properties, including Final Fantasy. Otakon is an annual convention that celebrates all things Asian pop culture. This includes anime, manga, movies, music, video games, and more. The Final Fantasy XVI’s New Game+ bug will be fixed next week Headline Image Patch 1.32 is arriving on May 9 and will fix the New Game+ bug stopping some Final Fantasy XVI players from progressing through the “A Chance Encounter” main scenario quest. The Final Fantasy XVI team announced the existence of the bug exactly one week ago today. The bug may occur when players begin New Game+ from some game locations and choose to skip the prologue. If affected, in-game party members become invisible and progress in the main scenario quest, “A Chance Encounter,” becomes impossible. While there were a couple of suggested workarounds impacted players could try like restarting New Game+ and not skipping the prologue, the development team prioritized finding a solution and patch...

New Dawntrail benchmark is coming at the end of May Headline Image Final Fantasy XIV director Naoki Yoshida, aka Yoshi-P, has posted an update on the revamped Dawntrail benchmark that will replace the first one launched last month. May 23 is the tentative release date for the new benchmark but Yoshi-P notes it is not a confirmed date and it could end up launching later that week. The lengthy Lodestone post also went over the reworks the development team has been implementing based on player feedback from the April benchmark’s character creator. On the docket first was fixing the environmental parameters that didn’t reflect Dawntrail’sgraphical updates and were impacting character appearance. Final Fantasy XIV preps new data center ahead of Dawntrail Headline Image We’re 62 days away from the July 2 launch of Dawntrail and server congestion continues to be a primary concern for the Final Fantasy XIV team. Today, they announced the creation of Shadow, a new European Data Center that’ll be ready for the summer launch. The new data center will include three new worlds appropriately themed after the 2019 Shadowbringers expansion. There’s Innocence, Pixie, and Titania. The Final Fantasy XIV team will be monitoring login congestion carefully to determine the opening dates of the Shadow Data Center worlds.
