KINGDOM HEARTS is coming to Steam

Sora fans rejoice! The Keyblade-wielding protagonist and the rest of the KINGDOM HEARTS cast are heading to Steam on June 13. Square Enix celebrated the announcement with a Steam launch trailer and a special message from KINGDOM HEARTS producer Ichiro Hazama.

KINGDOM HEARTS mashes together the worlds of Final Fantasy and Disney and has built up a strong cult following since the first game in the series was launched in 2002. Until this week’s announcement, however, PC players have been limited to experiencing these beloved games in the Epic Store.

In addition to the three major KINGDOM HEARTS collections being made available on Steam, a fourth collection called KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE is also headed to the Valve platform. This new title will bundle all three KINGDOM HEARTS collections in one and will also come with the platform-exclusive “Dead of Night” Keyblade currently packaged with KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC).

Official pricing hasn’t been revealed but the Steam pages for the main KINGDOM HEARTS collections are live now. Here are the games and other content that come bundled in each collection.

Fans of the series are speculating that the release of KINGDOM HEARTS on Steam indicates that Square Enix might be ready to share more information on the next installment.

The development of KINGDOM HEARTS IV was announced in 2022 in a special trailer commemorating the series’ 20th anniversary. There is currently no release window for this anticipated sequel.
