Final Fantasy XVI and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth each walked out of the Golden Joystick Awards 2023 with some gold hardware.
Final Fantasy XVI took home the award for Best Audio, and Ben Starr beat out an impressive shortlist of voice talent to earn Best Lead Performer for his portrayal of Clive. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth also clenched the award for Most Wanted Game, perhaps a sign of even more awards to come for the anticipated sequel to Final Fantasy VII Remake in 2024.
Final Fantasy XVI had also earned nominations in the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year category and for Best Supporting Performer for Ralph Ineson’s performance as Cid.
