The 1-year anniversary festivities for Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis kicked off over the weekend. After a solid launch year where the game breached the impressive and on-brand milestone of 7.77 million worldwide downloads back in February, they’re celebrating with lots of free draws, new events, and new game features.
Here’s a breakdown of the anniversary goods players can participate in during the celebration.
Free draws and gear.
Is there a set of gear that’s eluded you between April 2024 and the game’s launch? As an anniversary gift to all Ever Crisis players, you can exchange a free 1st Anniversary Gear Voucher for any set of gear released up until now.
And, in addition to a free daily 10 Draw, the 5-Star Weapon x25 Login Bonus is running from now to March 7, 2025. If you log in 5 days during the campaign window, you can get yourself 2 weapons for each of the 13 playable characters. That’s a total of 26 weapons!

The Cetra’s Story: Birth of the Destroyer event and gear
An anniversary celebration wouldn’t be complete without a special event that shows off Ever Crisis’ special brand of Final Fantasy storytelling. In The Cetra’s Story: Birth of the Destroyer, Cloud and the rest of Final Fantasy VII’s heroic ensemble duke it out with a white Bahamut. And, as the event title suggests, players will be treated to a unique narrative featuring the Cetra’s take on Bahamut and the “dragonmaster.”
As for gear, event participation lands players Alba Horns and Claws that can be collected and exchanged for the Alba Blade, a Zack-exclusive weapon. And some Bahamut-inspired gear comes in the form of the Garbs of the Protectors, a limited gear series available through draws only during the anniversary campaign.
A new weapon type and upgrade feature.
The 1st anniversary introduces Ultimate Weapons to Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis. These mako-infused weapons are separate from normal weapons and are equipped into a new weapon slot. Players can pick them up by exchanging Ultimate Medals they earn during special events just like the one described in the next section.
Brands, an all-new way to enhance weapon starts, also make their grand entrance during the 1st anniversary. Players will be able to accrue Branding Stones to improve their weapons with random stat increases.
With Ultimate Weapons and Brands, combat in Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis is evolving before our eyes with the biggest new gameplay additions we’ve seen yet. It’ll be interesting to see how the game’s boss battles and overall difficulty adjust as a result of this new weapon slot and stat enhancements.
Battle Tower: Singularity | The Maelstrom Tower: Chaos of the Corrupted
Yes, that is the full title of this special anniversary event. The premise is pretty simple: Players take on 100 floors of boss battles, with each new floor growing in difficulty. This is a fun, new way to not only test your combat prowess but also unlock some 5-star weapons using the Chaos of the Corrupted Weapon Vouchers awarded for first-time clears. The type of weapon you get is determined by the voucher you earn. From healing vouchers, fire vouchers, ice vouchers, and more, you’ll want to target vouchers and weapons that align with your playstyle and gaps in your weapon inventory.
Ultimate Medals are also up for grabs in the Battle Tower, making this the first opportunity for players to grind out enough of this special currency for their first Ultimate Weapons. More rewards can be earned beginning on floor 51 when daily event quests are unlocked; enjoy tackling those every day after the game’s quest reset.
